Learn to Lift Right
Our Free-Weight Workshops are small-group instructional sessions designed to teach you how to use the weight room with confidence. If you've ever walked past the squat rack and thought "I have no idea what I'm doing" — this is for you. Each workshop covers a specific lift or movement pattern in detail: proper setup, breathing, bracing, common mistakes, and how to program the movement into your routine. Limited to 6-8 participants so your trainer can give hands-on corrections in real time.
Who Should Attend
We rotate through foundational lifts on a monthly cycle. Deadlift fundamentals — conventional and sumo, grip options, hip hinge mechanics, and how to bail safely. Squat workshop — high bar vs low bar, depth standards, knee tracking, and ankle mobility fixes. Bench press — arch, leg drive, bar path, and shoulder safety. Olympic lifting intro — clean and press, power clean, hang variations. Each workshop builds on the last, but they're designed to stand alone so you can drop in whenever your schedule allows.
Who Should Attend
Complete beginners who want to learn before they lift alone. Intermediate lifters who want form checks and programming advice. Anyone coming back from a break who wants to rebuild their foundation safely. Members who've been doing machines and want to transition to free weights. Bring a notebook if you want — we'll give you enough cues to fill a page. No ego in the room, just learning.
